We currently provide a full range of support services for schools locally, nationally, and internationally. We understand that effective school leadership is critical in improving educational outcomes, promoting high expectations, and meeting the rigorous demands of Ofsted and the DfE. Our School Improvement Partner’s support and strengthen leadership at all levels, empowering headteachers, governors, and senior leaders to build leadership capacity, deliver whole-school improvement, secure better teaching and learning, and manage complex organisations more effectively.

An ECM School Improvement Partner can work alongside school leaders and staff to provide a wide range of bespoke guidance, support, coaching, and training opportunities. ECM School Improvement Partners (SIPs) work with leaders to identify the school’s needs and implement strategies to improve school effectiveness and pupil outcomes.

ECM can collaborate with schools to co-design a single consultancy day to address a specific need, e.g. support with writing part of the school’s self-evaluation summary, or can build a package of School Improvement Partner (SIP) days for the school across the year. The focus for each visit is based on the school’s identified needs and can include external validation of the school’s improvement work.

We provide support in ways that suit you. We offer:

• Full-day support: 6 hours in school, or 5 hours in school and a Note of Visit recording strengths and areas for development.
• Half-day support in school: 3 hours.
• A detailed report with your judgements validated, as well as a shorter Note of Visit.

Our consultants can also support governors and headteachers in applying their appraisal systems effectively. They can support all staff members, meeting your school’s individual needs.

We have a wide range of experienced consultants who can be matched to the specific needs of your school. Consultants may be current or recently serving headteachers, current or recently serving inspectors, or specialists in particular fields of education.
